Where are your hosting servers physically located?

Our servers are located in 4 different state-of-the-art Data Centres. We manage our servers through a team of administrators located physically at these data centres as well as remotely from our offices located in Port Louis, Mauritius.

What uptime I can expect and is there any service guarantee?

Mauritius.biz Hosting guarantees 99.9999% Network uptime. Uptime is covered under our Service Level Guarantee (SLA).

Will I have to pay online to order my new hosting account?

No. We don't require payment at the time of ordering. We trust our customers and invoices are sent by post AFTER the account is successfully set up and online. When you have received the Invoice, you can then settle it. It can't get any easier!

You claim to offer unlimited web space. What exactly do you mean?

By offering unlimited web space we mean that the client will never run out of disk space during the entire life of their contract. Clients can themselves monitor their disk usage and increase their quota themselves, as needed. We are the first Mauritian Web Host to offer Genuine Unlimited Plan Hosting.

Can I host more than one independent website?

Yes. You can host unlimited websites in your Control Panel. Additional websites are billed as add-on at a much lower price than the first website. Please contact us if you need further clarifications.

Can I resell space & e-mail within my own hosting account?

No. The end-user hosting account you buy allows you to use the service for your own personal or business use. You are not allowed to re-sell hosting space or e-mail accounts to third-parties. You can apply for a Reseller Account if you want to re-sell hosting. We can tailor a Reseller Account according to your needs. Just contact us for a quote.

Do I have to create my own web pages?

Normally, yes. You are responsible for your website content. You may of course avail the excellent Site Studio software (included free with your hosting) to build your website within a few minutes.

How long does it take for my account to be activated?

From the time you submit your order for a new account online, it takes less than 1 hour for us to set up your account and send you your welcome e-mail with your login and other instructions. We are proud to mention that we are the QUICKEST to set up your new hosting account in Mauritius.

For Hosting my site with Mauritius.biz Hosting, am I required to transfer my domain to Mauritius.biz Hosting?

No, you are not required to transfer your domain to us. You need to just change the Domain Name Servers (DNS) setting with your current domain registrar. Mauritius.biz Hosting DNS information is emailed to you when you add a domain during sign-up.

Can I test my website before changing name servers to Mauritius.biz Hosting?

Yes. For each domain you add to the control panel, you are given an Instant Access domain alias through which you may test your site before you actually change the DNS.

Do you allow me to send mail via my SMTP server (mail relay)?

Yes. You may choose to send (relay) e-mail via your own domain mail server or you may relay e-mail via your ISP's mail server. You can set this option in your e-mail program. You may also use the Webmail interface.

What type of money-back guarantee do you offer?

We offer a full 90-day service (money back) guarantee on the purchase of our web hosting account. If during your first 90 days you decide to terminate your hosting account, we will refund the hosting fees paid less the fee for domain name registration (Rs 500).

Do you offer around the clock support, and how much will it cost me?

We offer 24/7 support via online web based HelpDesk AND also offer 24/7 phone support. All technical support services are free of charge.

How can I send & receive my e-mails?

You can send & receive your e-mails from desktop application like Outlook. You can also access your e-mail account using any of WebMail clients viz. Horde, SqWebMail, SquirrelMail by visiting a URL similar to http://mail.mauritius.biz but with your domain name.

What contract and payment terms are available?

Our hosting plans and domain name registrations are billed on a minimum 1 year contract. We accept payment via Bank Transfer, Western Union, Personal and Business cheques, and of course cash!

Can I get additional FTP accounts with my hosting package?

Yes. You can create ftp-sub accounts from the Control Panel of the Linux hosting account.

Are there any free web applications available for me to use on my website?

Yes. There are almost 50 free web applications available to you. You can install these with 1-click via the Control Panel interface. Some of the applications available are: Mambo, WordPress, Joomla, PHPBB, osCommerce, etc. Please contact us for a latest full list of applications, as we regularly update and add more and more web applications.

Can I customize the available Chat/Guestbook/Forum scripts?

Yes, you can.

What is HSphere?

HSphere is Control Panel software used to manage our servers. Via HSphere you can control your server and manage everyday task such as creating e-mail accounts, databases, upload files, changing passwords, etc.
